buy a record save a life

April 7th, 2010

Hey here is some good info about a way you and I can be activists about clean water and making a difference in the world. My good friend Jonathan Rich is in concert here is the info below!

“On this Friday, April 9th, Jonathan Rich and his circus machine of a rock band, the Goodfight, will continue their quest to bring the world wide water problem to a screeching halt by hosting a rock and roll show at the Vinyl on W. Peachtree and 17th st. in Midtown. All proceeds from the door will be donated to charity: water, TGF’s favorite non-profit. They are working towards providing a safe, clean glass of drinking water to every single person on the planet. TGF will be joined by special guests The Less and Elevation. In addition to the proceeds at the door, you’ll be able to make a donation and purchase merchandise to join the cause, and the Goodfight will continue their project buyarecordsavealife where all of their record sales will be given to charity: water. This is sure to be the only show in town on Friday night where the cost of admission will actually save a life. The Vinyl | 8pm | Friday April 9 | 18+ | be there.” – Jonathan Rich

a couple of weeks ago 1027church was able to host and lead out a night of art. it was really very good and engaged a large amount of conversation. 1027church has been growing over the years in both appreciation and desiring to encourage the art community of the city and the world. we have hosted concerts over the years at a local starbucks. and through a couple of the concerts had live art – painting.

the matchstick gallery was a one night event that ken evans operator of if coffee house allowed us to use the if space. that night jonathan rich who leads @ 1027church in the arts and in other ways worked with other artists to display art. it was a beautiful night; the theme of the night was redemption. we had several forms of art from painting, photography, sculpture, 3 dimensional art (probably some name for this i do not know) and music.

the next one will be in october watch more details.
