this week as i study the word of God i continue to be brought back to prayer.
matter of fact on monday in a group i meet with at starbucks we were studying james 5 and verse 13 hit me like a sledge hammer.
5:13 is one of you in trouble? he should pray.
tuesday i was studying
romans 8:26 in the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. we do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
john 16:24 until now you have not asked for anything in my name. ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.
lloyd ogilvie – says, the most profound expression of friendship is prayer. there are no more encouraging words we can say or hear, “I’am praying for you!”

God I trust you more than I trust myself, please work in the lives of those in the world, the city, 1027church, my neighborhood, and my family. i believe you can answer this prayer!

well it is hard to believe that aloma baptist church mission team will be in the atl tomorrow @ 4 pm. i’ll tell you i’m so excited to hear about so many people in the 1027chruch that have been praying for “such a time as this.” praying for safe travel, fruitful ministry as we seek the welfare of the city together with Jesus. so i look forward to meeting the aloma gang tomorrow – eating some stinking good home made pasta!

today I want to pray for the spiritual salvation, the souls of our city – Atlanta. we are pushing close to 1 million people inside the perimeter. our city needs a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. today i want to pray the prayer of Hudson Taylor 1840, “that if God does not move the heart of China to be saved, it would not.”
God please move the heart of the city of Atlanta to be moved for salvation!

today I want to pray about the many areas we believe God is inviting us to join him already at work in the city of atlanta. please pray for the coffee mornings for the neighborhood around inman middle school, pray for the teachers of inman middle school and banneker high school as we serve them a good cup of coffee next week. please pray for the people our eyes will lock eyes with all over the city and in the starbucks. pray for the opportunity to be a part of the matchstick art gallery and those who will come or just walk bye. pray for the amazing kids at the boys and girls club who just need some encouragement in their lives. and pray for the many people we will make contact with as we let our neighbors know we love them. and pray we would speak the gospel in the power of the holy spirit.

today i want to pray for the college mission team coming from aloma baptist church, orlando, florida. pray for a safe trip, effective outreach to the city, that all the ministry opts go amazing and that everything brings a ton of glory to Jesus.

please pray with us for our many neighbors all over the city of atlanta. please pray for them to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. please pray for 1027church to engage our neighbors with the powerful gospel because we love our neighbors. please pray that the week the aloma baptist church college mission team is here in the ATL together abc mission team and 1027church would sow down the gospel into the neighborhoods of the city. please pray for the God the opportunities to celebrate salvation as it comes to people’s homes!

please join us in prayer today for the community and two local schools we will be serving coffee to as a demonstration of God’s love. as we really love our neighbors! please pray we have many opportunities to pray for individuals, engage them with conversation about Jesus and sow the gospel into their hearts and the city. celebrate as we see many disciples made for the honor of God.

1027church is one week away from having some amazing college students from aloma baptist church coming to do a week of mission work with God and us. so i would to take the next 7 days and invite them and 1027church to pray about some of the amazing things we will do with God while they are here in the city.
today i would like us to pray for the 1027church team that have been so faithful to serve with God in the city. jonathan and callie rich and their son josiah, jessica harris, brooke oliver, thomas busby, and cameron and melanie ford and they have a baby on the way. pam and tim wolfe, ariah, asa, and seth.
pleaser pray for this team. please pray that the team as well as the church would pray, engage with others, sow the gospel deep down into the city and that we celebrate as God brings in a harvest of souls. please pray the God would use the abc mission team.
