i love watching my kids play sports, and we love sports in our family. for those who want to know here are brief some facts. my wife pam played high school volleyball, softball, and basketball. she then went on to play a year of small college basketball and volleyball before transfering schools to finish her degree, i played high school football, baseball and small college baseball.
our daughter ariah rides horses jumping them and dreams about going as a far as possible. asa plays soccer like it’s his job about what seems like 300 days a year. he would like to play college and dreams about playing on a national team. seth plays football, basketball (a couple of seasons), and baseball. right now he has been invited to play for the 10 and under Georgia Rattler’s at central park. coach ben, coach swoo, coach fly are doing a great job and the team went to knoxville, tn last week-end for a pre-season kick-off tournament and went 2-1, they are some great kids and seth is having fun well maybe not at the tuff practices.
my middle son asa attends grady high school and is a soccer player. this is his freshman year @ grady and he has enjoyed playing high school soccer. he started the season with the junior varsity and about three weeks ago asa in the white jersey got moved up to the varsity. i love my children ariah, asa and seth and i’m very proud of them all. i’m so proud of you asa wolfe! go knights regionals start friday or saturday.
For sports fans it might seem weird to blog a shout of congrads to the GATORS and YELLOW JACKETS but that’s where I live. I grew up in Florida, have been and always will be a GATOR! And now that I live in Midtown Atlanta I find myself pulling for the Ga Tech’s (as long they are not playing the Gators.)
I like most of you (who live in Georgia) work along side fanatic Bull Dawg Fans. And this year they lost both to the Gators and Jackets. I like Mark Richt but NOT anything about the Bull Dogs. This year I have sat in meetings where I was told the the dwags would get after the gators – this year not so. And even in those meetings there has at least been a minority of Tech’ers and they have caught a lot of flack over losing 7 in a row to Georgia. But it stopped today! And than today Florida took care of one of the other schools in Florida the Seminoles in the rain.
This is a brief, very brief video shot of the 10 and under Morningside Nighthawks Football Team. My son Seth plays for them and they have a great season. The Nighthawks just won their first round playoff game this past Saturday.
