I can't say thank you enough for what y'all have done for my sister. In ministering to her you are ministering to our entire family. The ripple effect of blessing is pretty profound! THANK YOU for showing Christ's love in such a tangible, practical way.

It was great to hear your testimony and stories last night at Eagles Landing. Praying for God to bless your ministry and for you to continue in his service.

I think I become absorbed by the things I am doing (or not doing) for God...which places my focus on myself. Also, I become of the mindset that I can actually do God favors...as if He needed them...rather than He allows me to do good works prepared in advance for me to do.

digging this post. the leon county commission just approved a LGBT ordinance on tuesday. it will protect people from discrimination at their jobs or for housing based on sexual orientation. it applies to businesses not churches. but it was amazing to see how many christian churches sent their staff to the public hearings to speak out and say it was their religious conviction to discriminate these people.
i'm wrestling with the economic argument that says more protected classes and lawsuits don't solve the problem. how does that reconcile with loving your neighbor?

Tim, Adoption is no cake walk. Go into it with eyes wide open and well prayed up. But when you watch your baby girl who has 72 hours to live turn 15, well, it's worth any price. Way to go.

Well said my friend. Personally, I have tried to ingore that group and not give them any cred. However, the fact they label themselves as Christians and Baptists makes me wish I was more like you. I would love for our denomination leaders to just come out and put a warning label on them that said something like this: their views do not represent the views of our denomination nor the views of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Keep taking those baby steps to discipline. Remember a child crawls before it takes baby steps. It takes baby steps before it walks. It walks before it runs.

I love this. There are SO many ways that football relates to life and there are SO many valuable lessons it teaches its players. After playing football for four years (that were far too short) in high school, I wish everyone, especially males, would play organized tackle football for some period of time in there lives. Call me a football fanatic, but I love it.
